Title: Material Handling Operator
Location: Gibsonton, FL
Shift: 1st Shift — 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Work Schedule: 40 hours/week
Pay Rate: $20 - $23 p/hr



Job Summary
The Material Handling Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material‑handling equipment to support warehouse operations, including loading, unloading, inventory management, and preparing shipments. This role requires strong attention to detail, safe work practices, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain transfer and production operations per plant procedures.
  • Verify all incoming and outgoing materials during loading/unloading.
  • Assist Inventory Control with count validation and material checks.
  • Complete all required shipping/receiving documentation.
  • Rack materials according to instructions and report issues to supervisors.
  • Assemble customer shipments and prepare products for delivery.
  • Keep warehouse clean and compliant with 5S standards.
  • Follow all forklift safety regulations, including seatbelt use.
  • Support inbound/outbound rack processing and general labor tasks when needed.
  • Drive company truck to pick up or deliver items and maintain vehicle logs.
  • Perform truck equipment inspections and report service needs.
  • May perform emergency roadside repairs if required.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of forklift experience (required).
  • Current forklift certification.
  • Valid Florida driver’s license with acceptable MVR.
  • Ability to work safely and follow safety policies.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends when needed.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • English required; Spanish is a plus.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand 6–8 hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Reaching, stooping, kneeling, pushing/pulling required daily.
  • Exposure to high noise levels.
  • Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus ability
