Description:
The main focus will be supporting our client’s Wick Office Design group with new designs, updates of existing systems and providing technical support to the sales and manufacturing teams Globally.
It will require the comprehension of technical drawings and associated documentation, company and industry standards in order that delivered products meet with these specifications.
Responsibilities:
  • As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Designing products to agreed specifications.
  • Project Management to ensure projects meet customer requirements and specifications. Able to respond to changes in these targets.
  • Problem solving of issues as they arise during production of products.
  • Providing technical support to Sales and Service departments Globally.
  • Proactively logging, tracking and closure of engineering improvement notices and change notices in a timely manner.
  • Be a part of our team that strive to deliver on quality and on time.
Education
Degree in Mechanical Engineering with previous relevant experience within an engineering environment or demonstratable equivalent experience.
Skills
  • A knowledge and use of Inventor/ Autocad is desirable.
  • A knowledge of Finite Element Analysis is desirable.
  • An understanding and knowledge of mechanical processes.
  • An understanding of dimensions and tolerances.
  • Producing company standard drawings from engineering information.
  • Problem solving – identifying and suggesting solutions to problems encountered.
  • Project management skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Observant with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Able to plan, prioritise and handle multiple tasks.
  • Have a good hands-on practical capability.
