About the Role
  • We’re seeking a flexible and hands‑on Mechanical Engineer to support the ramp‑up of our client's Concentrate Handling Facility (CHF) toward nameplate throughput.
  • This is a wet‑plant–focused role responsible for day‑to‑day mechanical support, reliability improvement and equipment troubleshooting across a compact but critical dewatering circuit.
  • You’ll work closely with ops, maintenance and OEMs, providing practical engineering oversight and keeping the plant running safely, reliably, and efficiently.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily mechanical engineering support across the CHF
  • Improve equipment performance, reliability, and safety
  • Support shutdowns, maintenance strategies, and defect elimination
  • Lead or assist small improvement projects
  • Act as the SME for: Pumps, thickeners, tanks, mag drums, filter belts, conveyors
  • Conduct basic RCA and troubleshoot plant issues
  • Vet OEM scopes and ensure work aligns with site requirements
  • Use SAP & analytical tools; learn P2 with onsite guidance
  • Manage stakeholders—including OEMs with long turnaround cycles
  • Work collaboratively with CHF operations, maintenance and IB engineering

What We’re Looking For
  • Mechanical, maintenance, or reliability engineering background
  • Strong wet‑plant knowledge (pumps, rotating equipment, filtration, tanks)
  • Ability to work independently as the sole onsite engineer
  • Strong stakeholder engagement & communication skills
  • Ability to read drawings, diagnose issues and provide practical solutions
  • Comfortable dealing with OEMs and long vendor lead times
  • Analytical mindset with willingness to learn new systems
