NES Fircroft are looking for a Mechanical Engineer on a FIFO basis to support a Tier 1 mining operator through plant maintenance, mechanical integrity, and reliability programs. The role ensures equipment performance, safe operation, and operational efficiency across mine and processing assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support maintenance and operations teams with mechanical solutions.
  • Support classified plant enquiries and understanding of pressure equipment
  • Involvement in on site maintenance projects involving site visits, management of consultants and technical engineering support to customer base
  • Support mechanical principal engineering in maintaining site technical standards and supporting customers to under all requirements
  • Implement and maintain asset management and reliability programs (preventive maintenance, RCA, condition monitoring).
  • Perform mechanical design reviews, calculations, and specification checks.
  • Assist in capital projects and equipment upgrades.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 6+ years of experience in mining or heavy industry.
  • Knowledge of plant equipment, mechanical systems, and reliability engineering.
  • Experience with CMMS, maintenance strategies, and mechanical problem-solving.
