Completions Mixing Plant Hand – Job Description
A Completions Mixing Plant Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating equipment used to blend, mix, and prepare completion fluids for oil and gas well operations. The role involves monitoring plant systems, ensuring product quality, maintaining accurate documentation, and coordinating with field crews to meet operational timelines.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor mixing equipment, pumps, tanks, and control systems used in completion fluid preparation
  • Measure, load, and blend chemicals according to job specifications and quality standards
  • Perform routine equipment inspections, troubleshoot issues, and report maintenance needs
  • Maintain accurate logs of materials, batch records, and inventory levels
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company policies
  • Coordinate with logistics and field personnel to support timely delivery of completion fluids
  • Assist with plant housekeeping, chemical handling, and general operational support
Qualifications
  • Experience in oilfield services, chemical mixing, or plant operations preferred
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions, blend sheets, and safety data sheets
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with pumps, valves, and industrial equipment
  • Commitment to safety and ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment
  • Valid driver’s license
