- Maintain effective and proactive communication with clients regarding O&M activities, in coordination with the Commercial Asset Manager when required.
- Coordinate with client site facility engineers to troubleshoot issues and promptly resolve faults or shutdowns.
O&M Contractor Management
- Ensure full compliance of all O&M contractors with applicable legislation and Company HSE requirements, values, guidelines, procedures, and standards.
- Manage O&M contractor tenders in a timely manner and within the approved budget in local currency.
- Prepare and secure internal approvals for each O&M contract on time (e.g., contract committee approvals).
- Ensure the quality and validity of O&M performance bonds as required by company standards.
- Manage delay liquidated damages (LDs) related to O&M contractors.
- Regularly evaluate O&M contractor performance and ensure agreed performance KPIs are met.
- Conduct and ensure regular site inspections focused on safety compliance and work quality.
Asset Management
- Ensure all O&M activities are executed on time—particularly module cleaning and preventive maintenance—and comply with all relevant REN/DG guidelines, procedures, and standards.
- Manage assets in full compliance with company HSE standards.
- Ensure all operated sites are adequately covered by active insurance in line with company requirements.
- Anticipate operational risks and take immediate action to address potential challenges.
- Monitor PV asset performance and proactively implement mitigation measures to address any energy shortfalls.
- Ensure complete handover of project documentation, PR tests, and as-built PV system documentation on time.
- Collaborate with the Project Management team to resolve operational issues during the EPC contractor’s defects liability period.
- Work with the Engineering Center to identify root causes of energy losses not related to O&M activities and ensure corrective action plans are swiftly implemented.
- For corrective maintenance activities, ensure all engineering documents receive Engineering Center approval prior to execution.
General Responsibilities
- Ensure all required permits and licenses are renewed on time in full compliance with applicable regulations.
- Update and manage O&M activities using company management systems and tools.
- Continuously identify opportunities to optimize and reduce operating costs.
- Ensure efficient internal handovers with the Project Management team.
- Coordinate with Finance, Accounting, and Procurement teams for invoice and payment management.
- Act as a proactive, collaborative, and reliable member of the country team.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Engineering degree (Electrical Engineering preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Operations & Maintenance, including both corrective and preventive maintenance.
- Experience in renewable energy, particularly solar PV, is strongly preferred.
- Experience in Solar PV testing and commissioning is an advantage.
- Strong commitment to HSE standards with zero tolerance for deviations; work-at-height certification required.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage complex situations and work effectively under pressure.
- Highly organized, autonomous, and able to prioritize tasks and initiatives.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent communication skills in English and the local language.
