Job Title-Parts Coordinator
Location- Houston Texas
Rate- $24-$33.65/hour
Duration-1 year
Overview:
As a Parts Coordinator, you ensure internal teams receive the right parts on time, with clear updates and proactive follow‑through. You will manage day‑to‑day parts operations, including purchase requisition creation, vendor expediting, due‑date updates, and support for parts order processing. Your role directly supports OTIF improvement, backlog reduction, and fast turnaround for service execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, submit for approval, and release material purchase requisitions in the ERP system.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely PO placement and resolve discrepancies.
- Process internal and external parts orders as needed to support the team.
- Update parts due dates and delivery status in shared tracking sheets with full accuracy.
- Support PMs with part‑status updates and ensure clear communication on risks, changes, and expected timelines.
Supplier Coordination & Expediting
- Follow up with vendors to expedite parts, reduce lead times, and prevent missed due dates.
- Track open vendor orders and escalate delays or issues proactively.
- Communicate daily/weekly updates to the parts team and PMs to ensure transparency.
Shipping & Logistics Support
- Work closely with warehouse and shipping teams to verify accuracy on requisitions, confirm correct part handling, and assist in tracking part movement to support on‑time delivery.
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with the Parts & Tooling Specialist, Parts Professional, PM team, Procurement team, and vendors.
- Ensure internal stakeholders receive timely updates that help drive OTIF performance.
- Support the Parts Team by entering data into Excel trackers and documents as needed.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in parts operations, supply chain, procurement support, or logistics.
- ERP proficiency (training will be provided on internal systems).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple open items.
- Clear, professional communicator with high follow‑through and urgency.
- Preferred: Experience in industrial equipment, rotating machinery, or aftermarket service environments.
