Job Post – Piping & Structure Supervisor (Offshore)
Location: Qatar Offshore
Rotation: 28 Days On / 28 Days Off

Job Purpose
The Piping & Structure Supervisor is responsible for coordinating offshore Brownfield, Shutdown, and Hook‑up execution for the Piping and Structural disciplines, representing the COMPANY during offshore execution. The role ensures full compliance with safety, quality, asset integrity, and project objectives, while supporting efficient execution and commissioning in close coordination with Operations, OESS, and EPC Contractors. Job Context & Key Challenges
This position is part of the COMP3 Project, a major Compression Development Program involving:
  • Delivery of 5 new riser platforms
  • Installation of 1 wellhead platform
  • Installation of stalk‑on risers
  • Installation of cables and fiber optic (FO) lines
  • Tie‑ins and modifications to 17 existing offshore platforms
The role requires strong Piping and Structural technical expertise to manage EPC Contractors and Subcontractors during offshore hook‑up, brownfield execution, SIMOPS, and shutdown preparation and execution.
Key challenges include:
  • Working in complex SIMOPS environments in coordination with OESS and Operations
  • Maintaining continuous communication across multiple internal and external interfaces, including QatarEnergy LNG and EPC Contractors
  • Ensuring strict adherence to QatarEnergy LNG safety rules without compromising safety, quality, or integrity of existing offshore assets
  • Supporting efficient offshore execution through optimal resource allocation and planning
The role includes participation in daily offshore coordination meetings (Safety, PTW, Schedule, etc.) during execution. Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure strict compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental regulations during offshore execution
  • Coordinate and ensure successful execution of offshore Brownfield, Shutdown, and Hook‑up activities, including commissioning, in line with project priorities (Safety, Quality, Asset Integrity, Schedule)
  • Supervise and control Contractor and Subcontractor activities related to:
    • Brownfield and Hook‑up execution
    • Mechanical Completion
    • Pre‑commissioning
    • Commissioning
  • Review and verify constructability and technical compliance of deliverables issued by Engineering, Brownfield, and Hook‑up teams
  • Liaise with Contractors and Subcontractors to monitor progress, reporting, and resolution of issues related to MC, pre‑commissioning, and commissioning activities
  • Supervise Permit to Work (PTW) coordination meetings with OESS and Contractors, ensuring strict adherence to approved Method Statements and Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
  • Escalate any piping or structural discipline concerns that are not aligned with QatarEnergy LNG rules and procedures to line management
  • Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture during offshore execution and onboard marine units (JUB and work boats), ensuring closure of safety actions under assigned responsibility
  • Participate in REX and Lessons Learned programs to support continuous improvement
  • Ensure sufficient and balanced resources and technical expertise are available to support efficient offshore execution in compliance with planning requirements
Qualifications
  • High National Diploma (HND) or equivalent in Piping, Mechanical, Structural Engineering, or related discipline
Experience Required
  • Minimum 8 years of experience on large‑scale Oil & Gas projects involving:
    • Offshore construction and installation
    • Brownfield execution and shutdowns
    • Hook‑up and commissioning activities
Technical & Professional Skills
  • Experience working with:
    • Oil & Gas Operators
    • EPC Contractors and Subcontractors
    • Offshore construction and execution companies
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Offshore piping and structural systems
    • International design standards, codes, and specifications
    • Offshore execution methods and associated risks
  • Experience with:
    • Sour gas and LNG production facilities
    • Offshore facilities, structures, and operational environments
  • Experience working within large operating organizations across Operations and Projects
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
