Job Title-Planner Scheduler II

Duration: 1 Year Contract
Rate: $52/no benefits - $47 with benefits

Overview
The Planner Scheduler II is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules for initiatives up to $50MM in annual value with durations typically under two years. This role supports project teams by providing reliable schedule forecasts, identifying risks, and ensuring execution aligns with corporate project management standards. The position operates with a high level of independence and may mentor junior planners or coordinate activities across a project team.

Education & Experience Requirements
 
  • Post-secondary education in Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline; P.Eng or equivalent is preferred.
  • 4–7 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 1 year in construction or project-based environments.
  • Demonstrated history as a high performer, supported by previous performance reviews.

Certifications
 
  • Actively pursuing Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or holding a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) designation.

Technical Expertise & Responsibilities
  • Develops, updates, and maintains comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6, including resource loading and development of WBS/CBS structures.
  • Applies best practices and internal standards to enhance project controls, scheduling accuracy, and reporting quality.
  • Conducts independent analysis, reviews schedule performance, identifies critical-path issues, and recommends corrective actions.
  • Prepares, documents, and implements processes and procedures within the functional area to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Supports and maintains the SETW Project Management System and provides guidance to project teams on adherence.
  • Participates frequently on internal committees and may assist with developing and delivering training materials to small groups.
  • Works as an integral member of the project team and may take the lead on selected tasks or deliverables.
