Title: Buyer/Planner
Contract Length: 1 year contract, with potential for extension or FT opportunity
Location: Concord, ON (must be local to the area)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 hours/day, 8am – 5pm
Job Description:

Our client is seeking a temporary, full-time Planner/Buyer to join our Supply Chain Team.
This role will be involve with the end-to-end process of Supply chain for the assigned commodity and will work with close collaboration with suppliers, the internal supply chain team, cross-functional departments, and company.


Key Responsibilities
• Create purchase orders (POs), including MyMall, box build orders, internal orders, and parts requisitions (IPRs) based on requests from various internal teams.
• Ensure timely release of purchase orders in accordance with requirements.
• Run MRP (Material Requirements Planning) regularly to align supply with demand.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels for all commodities under the Planner/Buyer scope.
• Drive solutions to close supply gaps and mitigate risks to production schedules.
• Arrange and coordinate shipments for all related materials.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for inventory management and material handling processes.
• Track inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring compliance with receiving processes, especially for urgent deliveries.
• Resolve receiving rejection issues promptly.
• Address and clear invoice-related issues in NextGEN.
• Respond to email inquiries from internal teams, external customers, and vendors.
• Manage RMA processes, including shipping, ticket creation, and follow-up.
• Organize ZXL orders to suppliers, including preparation, approval, and handover to the shipping team.
• Transfer parts to inventory, including new parts ordered as non-inventory or for non-inventory qualification.
• Lead operational calls with suppliers and closely monitor CTB and on-time delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate SAP data (e.g., ATP and AB confirmations) and keep purchase order information up to date.
• Ensure timely closure of purchase orders.
• Drive escalation calls with suppliers and internal teams as needed.
• Provide CTB reports to the production expeditor and share updates within the Supply Chain team.
• Support and execute ad-hoc projects assigned by the SCM Team Lead and Manager.
• Participate actively in teams meetings

Qualification:
• Post-secondary education (degree, diploma, or certificate) required.
• At least 3+ years of experience in supply chain, planning, purchasing, material handling, and inventory management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, suppliers, and priorities with minimal supervision in challenging conditions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Expert-level proficiency in SAP for material movement and management is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) is required.
