Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Planning & Scheduling Engineer II to support a large-scale ERP and SAP transformation initiative impacting supply chain and operations across the Americas. This role will support the Business Readiness team and be responsible for planning, schedule development, resource coordination, progress tracking, and readiness activities in advance of a major phased rollout beginning in 2027.

The successful candidate will work closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, and Project teams to ensure project schedules, reporting, and business readiness efforts are aligned with overall execution strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules supporting ERP, SAP, and business readiness initiatives
  • Support resource planning and scheduling activities, including updates and modifications to resource plans and schedules as business needs evolve
  • Monitor schedule performance, identify trends, forecast potential impacts, and communicate risks or deviations to project stakeholders
  • Prepare and compile weekly and monthly schedule, progress, and status reports for project leadership and management
  • Create reporting and dashboards that translate complex project data into clear, concise information for management review
  • Build and maintain progress measurement systems aligned with project scope, milestones, and execution plans
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, and Project Controls to support project execution
  • Support business readiness and change management activities associated with system implementation across multiple regions
  • Review project schedules for completeness, logic, level of detail, interfaces, and consistency with overall project objectives
  • Assist with development of contract control schedules, key milestones, and schedule forecasting activities
  • Respond to ad hoc schedule, reporting, and project controls requests from project leadership
  • Participate in capturing and documenting lessons learned related to schedule, progress, and business readiness activities
Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Business, or a related field
  • Experience in project controls, planning, scheduling, business readiness, or operational transformation environments
  • Strong proficiency with Smartsheet and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience developing schedules, tracking progress, and preparing management-level reporting
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize and communicate complex information effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting ERP or SAP implementations, system integrations, or large process transitions
  • Background in supply chain, procurement, warehouse operations, or operations readiness
  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting and data visualization tools
  • Prior experience in oil & gas, energy, manufacturing, chemical, or other large industrial environments
