Position: Procedures Editor
Department: Operations Expansion & Startup / Operations Support
Location: Qatar / Middle East
Industry: Oil & Gas – LNG Operations
Contract :- Initial 2‑year contract, Possibility of extension
Work Schedule :-  8–10 hours per day
Rotation :- 12 Weeks ON / 2 Weeks OFF

Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Procedures Editor to support the Operations Group by editing, reviewing, and refining technical procedures, standing instructions, and assessment packages. The role requires exceptional command of technical writing standards, accuracy, clarity, and compliance with company competency assurance systems.
This position is central to ensuring that operational and maintenance procedures are accurate, user‑friendly, and aligned with safety, quality, and operational excellence requirements.

  Key Responsibilities
  • Edit and review Operations Group procedures, standing instructions, and assessment packages for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Ensure all documentation adheres to Company editorial policies, competency assurance standards, and ISO 9000/14000 requirements.
  • Review documents for grammar, punctuation, formatting, and adherence to company standards.
  • Improve clarity, structure, vocabulary, and readability of technical documentation.
  • Verify facts, dates, and technical details by coordinating with Technical Writers and other departments.
  • Proofread Operations & Maintenance procedures and assessment packages.
  • Support development of standardized documentation layouts for intranet portals (QGMS).
  • Assist in identifying operational areas needing technical updates and ensure documentation is revised accordingly.
  • Mentor Technical Writers and contribute to writing guides.
     
🔹 Minimum Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English Literature, Journalism, or Science.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience editing/writing oil & gas procedures, including 3 years as a technical author.
  • Strong self‑starter with proven ability to manage diverse and technically complex information.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and MS SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with electronic publishing, graphics, and multimedia documentation tools.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
