NES Fircroft is supporting a global science-led manufacturing business operating in the Agri-science and specialty chemicals space, known for translating cutting-edge research into large-scale, real-world production.

This is a highly technical environment where chemistry directly impacts global supply chains and product performance.

They’re now looking for an experienced Process Chemist to join their R&D / Process Development function and play a key role in developing, optimising, and supporting manufacturing processes from lab through to scale-up and production.

What You’ll Do

Process Development & Optimisation
  • Lead laboratory programmes to develop and improve chemical manufacturing processes
  • Design and execute experiments to deliver safe, efficient, and scalable processes
Technical Leadership
  • Act as a process chemistry expert, supporting Process Development, Supply Chain, and project teams
Problem Solving & Manufacturing Support
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous process improvement
Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with site, company, and regulatory requirements
Data & Reporting
  • Produce clear, concise technical reports documenting results and recommendations
What You’ll Bring
Experience
  • Strong background in process development chemistry, including:
    • Experimental design and statistical data analysis
    • Scale-up and manufacturing support
      •  Solid hands-on laboratory and analytical experience Critical Capabilities
        • Sharp problem-solving skills with the confidence to tackle complex challenges
        • Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and presentation
        • Ability to build strong working relationships across technical and non-technical teams
        • Strong understanding of physico-chemical principles applied to process development
