We are recruiting for an established global engineering organisation is seeking a Process Engineer to support major metals and heavy industry projects based in Sheffield.
This is a great opportunity to join a technically strong team delivering high-impact projects across steelmaking and metallurgical processing environments.
The Role, As a Process Engineer, you’ll be responsible for supporting the design, optimisation and improvement of industrial processes across large-scale plant and production systems. You’ll work alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams, contributing to both new projects and ongoing operational improvements.

The Role, As a Process Engineer, you’ll be responsible for supporting the design, optimisation and improvement of industrial processes across large-scale plant and production systems. Key Responsibilities
- Process design, analysis and optimisation for metallurgical / metals processing systems
- Supporting feasibility studies, process calculations and technical documentation
- Working closely with project, mechanical, electrical and automation teams
- Supporting commissioning, troubleshooting and performance improvement activities
- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality and industry standards
- Ideally Degree-qualified in Chemical, Process, Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in metals, steel, heavy engineering or large-scale industrial environments
- Strong understanding of industrial process design and optimisation
- Comfortable working in project-based and operational settings
- Experience with Primetals technologies or steelmaking processes is highly advantageous
