Position Definition The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing new sourcing and purchasing demands across assigned categories and business areas, in alignment with Category Management principles.
This role focuses on aggregating and leveraging third‑party spend, developing sourcing strategies, and ensuring procurement activities align with business priorities. The Specialist works closely with stakeholders and suppliers to deliver integrated cost‑saving targets and optimize operational spend.
The role also manages tail‑end spend, ensures effective implementation of framework agreements and local contracts, and coordinates with regional and global procurement teams where required.

Principal Accountabilities
- Execute commercial activities and work plans that support business requirements and ensure continuity of supply.
- Develop and manage local agreements as guided by the Procurement Lead or Category Manager.
- Implement and operationalize sourcing strategies and manage associated contracts.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with category strategies and organizational policies.
- Process one‑off purchase orders and resolve issues within the Requisition‑to‑Pay (RtP) process.
- Ensure commercial terms are accurately reflected in purchase orders and support invoice resolution when needed.
- Act as ERP Super User for Procurement of Goods, supporting system upgrades, testing, troubleshooting, and maximizing automation.
- Rationalize and streamline suppliers and contracts where appropriate.
- Evaluate and validate new supplier requests.
- Resolve procurement‑related issues with stakeholders, suppliers, and finance teams.
- Ensure appropriate RtP channels are used to drive efficiency and compliance.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Support expediting activities and ensure timely sourcing of critical requisitions.

- Coordinates with 25+ vendors daily
- Creates up to 4,000 purchase order lines annually
- Manages and maintains up to 10,000 PO lines annually
- Engages with 300+ requisitioners
- Handles 50+ workflows weekly, resolving them within 2 working days
