Project Completion Engineer - Telecom
 
Contract period
: 02/03/2026 - 31/03/2027
Location: Stord and offshore. This position is rotational (15/20).

Tasks and responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the preparation phase with review and verification of documentation and drawings that are relevant to MC and Commissioning of designated systems.
  • Provide engineering input.  
  • Estimation and planning of commissioning scope of work onshore and offshore for designated systems, including input to plan. 
  • Work independently to plan and execute MC follow-up and commissioning activities.
  • Participate in MC punch outs and FATs at supplier sites.
  • Deliver input and update progress in project completion system, PIMS.
  • Develop, review, and implement commissioning procedures.
  • Coordinate and interact with different departments and disciplines to ensure efficient execution of commissioning with high focus on HSSE.
  • Identify and follow up risks and opportunities related to commissioning.
  • Plan and call off ATS as and when required. 
  • Manage assistance personnel from contractors and other resources providing services.
  • Ensure spare parts and special tools are available prior to execution of commissioning activities.
  • Plan and ensure first fills are available in a timely fashion and perform first fills.
  • Provide leadership to ensure that a high level of focus is maintained on health, safety, and the environment according to client’s expectations.
  • Plan and coordinate commissioning assistance and support as required.
  • Participate in discipline MC punch rounds at sites for designated systems.
  • Ensure a smooth transition from Project to Operation.
  • Participate in pre-start-up and performance test reviews as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • BSc. or MSc. in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience from NORSOK projects.
  • System-based commissioning knowledge and understanding.
  • Track record of delivery in the Oil & Gas industry for the Norwegian Continental Shelf and ability to demonstrate effective system commissioning skills are a major advantage.
  • Familiarity with Project Completions Systems and document management systems. Experience with PIMS is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of the English and Norwegian languages (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to engage and lead a team of commissioning engineers & technicians to achieve timely execution of commissioning activities.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn from others and work with minimum direction.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. 
  • Actively seeks out expertise and best practice related to own area of contribution.
