Project Manager – Construction & Civils
Location: Stratford-upon-Avon
Role Overview
Our client, an engineering solutions company, are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the construction and civils phase of their £30 million warehousing development near Stratford-upon-Avon. The successful candidate will have experience managing industrial building projects over £30 million, ensuring timely delivery, budget control, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the construction and civils scope of the £30m warehousing development.
• Develop, monitor, and deliver the project programme and budget.
• Procure and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Coordinate all necessary service connections (utilities, drainage, etc.) to the site.
• Work closely with design teams to ensure plans meet operational and regulatory
requirements.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the
project.
• Maintain clear communication with internal teams, external contractors, and
regulatory bodies.
• Identify and mitigate project risks to avoid delays or cost overruns.
Skills & Experience Required
• Proven experience managing large-scale industrial building projects over £30
million.
• Strong knowledge of construction and civil engineering processes.
• Experience in utilities and service connections for industrial sites.
• Excellent procurement and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and schedules effectively.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Familiarity with UK construction regulations and CDM requirements.
Desirable Skills
• Experience with digital project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of sustainable construction practices.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to manage change and adapt to evolving project requirements.
