Project Manager (Electrical) – Port Construction Project


Location: Anchorage, Alaska (Full‑Time, Onsite)
Duration: Potentially 6-12 months
Rate: Min. $60/hr (negotiable based on prior experience)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with strong electrical expertise to support a major port infrastructure project in Anchorage, Alaska. This role will oversee day‑to‑day construction activities, ensure adherence to project specifications, and provide consistent reporting to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide construction oversight across all electrical and general construction activities.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to ensure work quality, safety compliance, and progress tracking.
  • Prepare and submit daily progress reports, including updates on schedule, workforce, materials, and potential risks.
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project owners to maintain workflow efficiency and resolve issues.
  • Monitor compliance with project plans, specifications, and regulatory standards.
  • Support scheduling, forecasting, and documentation requirements as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical construction or electrical project management.
  • Proven ability to manage field operations on large industrial, maritime, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and construction sequencing.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work full‑time and onsite in Anchorage, Alaska.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with port, marine, or heavy civil projects.
  • Prior experience in owner’s‑rep or construction oversight roles.
  • Familiarity with documentation tools (e.g., Procore, CMiC, or equivalent).
