Job Summary 

The Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules, ensuring integration across departments and alignment with project milestones and deliverables. This is a part‑time role (10–20 hours per week) supporting informed decision‑making, identifying schedule risks, and maintaining project controls throughout the project lifecycle. 

Essential Functions
  • Develop and maintain detailed project and maintenance schedules (Primavera P6 or MS Project) aligned with execution strategy, work order flow, inspections, and equipment readiness.

  • Provide analytical support through performance measurement, forecasting, and variance analysis across cost, schedule, and productivity metrics.

  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational readiness teams to ensure alignment and timely information flow.

  • Track progress and reporting through Earned Value Management (EVM), milestone tracking, and KPIs.

  • Identify and communicate schedule risks and opportunities; participate in risk reviews and mitigation planning.

  • Prepare monthly reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders and executive reviews.

  • Work with project controls, finance, and commercial teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of planning and reporting processes and tools.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate and project‑specific governance, procedures, and reporting requirements.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • This is a fully remote position with no anticipated travel requirements.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Analytics, or related field preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in planning, project controls, or project analytics within mining, energy, oil & gas, or large‑scale infrastructure projects.

  • Proficiency with project scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and analytical tools (Excel, Power BI, or equivalent).

  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management principles and project performance analysis.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.

  • Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.

  • Experience with mining brownfield projects is highly desirable.

  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
