The Turnaround Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing detailed Primavera P6 schedules to support both turnaround and capital project activities within a complex plant environment. This role ensures that all work is accurately planned, logically sequenced, and fully aligned with operational, maintenance, and safety requirements. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in P6, strong SAP knowledge, and the ability to challenge assumptions, validate logic, and drive schedule quality across multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities Turnaround & Capital Scheduling
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed Primavera P6 schedules for turnarounds, outages, and capital projects.
- Challenge schedule logic, durations, and resource assumptions to ensure feasibility and alignment with plant constraints.
- Integrate work orders, functional locations, and asset hierarchies into a structured WBS that reflects true field execution.
- Coordinate with maintenance, operations, engineering, and contractors to validate scope, sequencing, and resource requirements.
- Build and maintain Level 1–5 schedules, including critical path, near‑critical path, and float analysis.
- Support readiness reviews, gate meetings, and schedule risk assessments.
- Provide daily/weekly schedule updates during execution, ensuring accurate progress measurement and forecasting.
- Identify schedule deviations and develop mitigation or recovery plans.
- Utilize SAP to extract work orders, materials, notifications, and asset data for schedule development.
- Support performance tracking and reporting using Power BI or similar analytics tools.
- Produce dashboards, KPIs, and schedule performance reports for leadership and turnaround steering teams.
- Ensure schedule data integrity, coding structure accuracy, and compliance with internal planning standards.
- 10+ years of experience in project management, turnarounds, or maintenance planning within an industrial plant environment.
- Strong background in planning, trades coordination, or project management.
- Proven ability to manage a high volume of work — up to 40+ capital projects annually or equivalent turnaround scope.
- 7+ years of hands‑on Primavera P6 experience, including complex logic development and schedule integration.
- Prior experience working in an SAP environment (PM, MM, work orders, asset hierarchies).
- Strong understanding of WBS development, work orders, functional locations, and plant asset structures.
- Familiarity with Project Controls, cost/schedule integration, and data‑driven reporting tools (Power BI preferred).
- Ability to challenge schedule inputs, validate logic, and drive continuous improvement in planning processes.
- Experience in chemical, fertilizer, mining, oil & gas, or other heavy industrial sectors.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Detail‑oriented mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
