Contract - Onshore QA/QC Inspector
Location - Scotland

Our client is looking for an Onshore QA/QC Inspector, participating in inspections in alignment with project requirements, as outlined in the Site Quality Plan (PQP), procedures, and relevant Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).

Experience as an onshore wind inspector within quality

The Inspector will be essential in ensuring the quality of goods receipt inspections, pre-assembly, assembly, and final inspections prior to load-out, while maintaining strong communication with customer inspectors and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main contact with customer QA/QC representatives during receival and load-out inspections.
  • Plan and coordinate inspection readiness for main components in collaboration with site teams.
  • Review and approve Method Statement & Risk Assessment Checklist and other Quality Records prior to load-out and final walkdown.
  • Actively participate in the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) program to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Implement the Project & Site Quality Plan and support procedures at the work site.
  • Conduct inspections according to Site Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Lead continuous improvements by sharing feedback and lessons learned for each load-out with the Global Supply Chain.
  • Collaborate with the Document Control Team and manage site documentation.
  • Record, report, and resolve non-conformities arising during inspections.
  • Support completions, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning teams in validating closure of outstanding works and punch list items.
  • Report concerns related to the preservation of main components against acceptance criteria.
Work Environment:

  • Predominantly outdoor working conditions with significant periods at heights.
Desired Characteristics and Qualifications:

Experience as an onshore wind inspector within quality engineering or commissioning organizations.

  • GWO & Technical/engineering education and qualification in mechanical or electrical disciplines.
  • Familiarity with site safety and quality standards, with understanding of ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards.
  • Knowledge of fabrication/assembly/NDT/coatings techniques and HV electrical systems.
  • Self-motivated and organized individual with a proactive approach to work.
