QHSE Engineer

Client brings together the production and marketing of industrial gases in France with 3 complementary business lines: Large Industry, Industrial Merchant and Electronics. The subsidiary has 2300 employees, spread over 80 sites throughout the country, and serves more than 300,000 customers, from craftsmen to petrochemical manufacturers, from analytical laboratories to the semiconductor sector and metallurgy.

Objectives and Deliverables
Missions & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Regional HSEQ Manager, you will work as an HSEQ Engineer on the Feyzin and Roussillon sites, supporting the Lead HSEQ Specialist
Under the guidance of a senior HSEQ Specialist, your tasks may include:
• Ensuring regulatory and standards compliance, proposing and coordinating compliance plans.
• Ensuring proper reporting of QHSE events, coordinating root‑cause analyses, managing follow‑up files, and monitoring action plans.
• Ensuring compliance with risk‑management requirements in modification and project processes. Leading/participating in various risk analyses (ARA, HACCP, etc.), and developing / updating hazard studies and safety reports.
• Promoting and supporting the management system within operational teams, ensuring robustness, adoption, and continuous QHSE improvement:
– Updating and enforcing procedures
– Ensuring training/qualification requirements match operational needs
– Validating prevention plans / safety protocols
– Leading safety activities with suppliers/contractors and evaluating them
– Updating job risk assessments and environmental analyses
– Developing emergency plans and organising drills
– Monitoring action plans
– Conducting audits and inspections

• Supporting operational teams in steering the management system: operational reviews, steering committees, etc.
• Preparing for internal/external audits and official inspections; participating, consolidating and following up on resulting action plans.
• Leading national QHSE programme actions in project mode. Promoting the sharing and implementation of best practices across the sector.
• Supporting site managers in implementing security (sûreté) measures.
• Preparing CSSCT meetings.
