In this pivotal role, you will investigate the ADME (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, and Elimination) characteristics of active ingredients within plants, insects, and fungi—advancing cutting-edge crop protection science that helps farmers optimize yields and sustainability worldwide.
As part of an innovative Bioscience function, you will independently design, execute, and analyze experiments using a combination of laboratory and glasshouse assays alongside advanced analytical techniques such as LC-MS. Your work will generate high-quality data to deepen understanding of how active ingredients perform biologically, supporting the development of novel agrochemical solutions.

Required Skills
- Proven ability to plan, perform, and interpret laboratory experiments focused on bioavailability and ADME in biological systems
- At least two years’ practical experience in laboratory research, preferably within plant science, biochemistry, or related biological fields
- Strong scientific writing proficiency and effective verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to deliver results within project timelines
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and adhere to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards
- Experience in pharmacology, agronomy, crop protection, or analytical chemistry
- Familiarity with handling and analyzing large data sets, including data storage and visualization tools
- Previous experience with LC-MS analysis and small molecule studies
- Hands-on experience working with plants, soil, or seeds
- Knowledge of ADME principles in agrochemical contexts
- Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related fields is required; Master’s degree preferred
- Laboratory research experience in academic or professional settings, ideally involving plant or insect biology
- Background in crop protection or biotechnology research is advantageous
- This full-time position is based at our Jealott’s Hill International Research Centre, Bracknell, UK
- This is an initial two-year contract role with opportunities for skill development and professional growth
