Role Overview
For a large industrial production site in Belgium, we are looking for a Scheduler – Static & Rotating Equipment to join the maintenance department.

In this role, you will be responsible for the short‑ and long‑term maintenance planning of mechanical, static, and rotating equipment, working closely with production, maintenance teams, and external partners to ensure safe and efficient execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain short‑ and long‑term maintenance plans for mechanical, static, and rotating equipment
  • Initiate, follow up, and close work orders in the EAM system (SAP) while actively managing the maintenance backlog
  • Liaise daily with key stakeholders including production, team coordinators, and maintenance supervision
  • Prepare maintenance activities by ensuring:
    • clear work scopes
    • procedures and regulations
    • revision and job preparation sheets
  • Coordinate the execution of preventive and periodic maintenance activities
  • Verify the availability of required materials, tools, and resources, and track external contractor support
  • Actively contribute to troubleshooting and identifying structural solutions for recurring issues
  • Adapt maintenance planning quickly in response to unplanned breakdowns or operational changes
  • Actively support and comply with safety and environmental policies, promoting positive collaboration across teams
Profile
  • Technical degree (Graduate or A2) in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within an industrial or (petro)chemical environment
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a maintenance planning or scheduling role
  • Strong knowledge of EAM systems (SAP) and planning tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
  • Solid understanding of static and mechanical maintenance and familiarity with work permit systems
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with clear verbal and written communication
  • Ability to prioritise effectively, remain solution‑oriented, and maintain overview under time pressure
