Join Woodside Energy, working as Senior Applications Operations Coordinator to oversee a portfolio of business‑critical COTS and SaaS applications across the Business Development & Commercial (Marketing) and Finance divisions.

In this role, you’ll lead a team of support specialists, partner closely with senior business stakeholders, and act as the key contact for transitioning new applications into steady‑state support. You’ll drive improvements in reliability, technical governance, risk reduction, and customer experience across a diverse application landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor and manage a Digital support team, fostering a high‑performance and customer‑first culture.
  • Build strong relationships with system owners and senior stakeholders across Commercial and Finance.
  • Oversee resolution of complex issues for COTS and SaaS applications; act as escalation point for major incidents.
  • Improve monitoring, alerting, observability and move the team from reactive to proactive operations.
  • Ensure RCA is completed for significant or recurring issues and champion ITIL best practice.
  • Manage steady‑state support transitions, enhancements, documentation, and knowledge base improvements.
  • Provide operational input into architecture and design decisions, considering TCO, quality, and user experience.
  • Partner with Infosys and vendors to maintain technical currency, plan upgrades, and retire obsolete apps.
  • Identify FinOps and rationalisation opportunities to optimise spend and reduce unnecessary infrastructure.
  • Support Engagement Teams and PBPs with application portfolio management, roadmaps and risk planning.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend modern solutions.
Skills & Experience
  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years in Digital operations or application support roles.
  • 3+ years leading IT/Digital operations teams (preferred).
  • Strong experience managing and resolving complex issues across COTS/SaaS environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, enterprise software, and SaaS support models.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL, APM practices and tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical matters.
  • Calm and effective during major incidents; strong prioritisation in fast‑paced environments.
  • Customer‑centric mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional support.
