We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to join the project within the Electrical Package team. This role involves responsibility for the safe operation and control of electrical systems across Offshore Substations (OSS) and Wind Turbine Generators (WTG), as well as supporting commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a role model for safety and professionalism
Support the Employer in closing out commissioning activities on OSS platforms (including SAT support)
Gain detailed knowledge of OSS systems prior to energisation
Ensure strict adherence to Baltic Power Electrical Safety Rules (BLP ESR)
Create and verify switching schedules
Act as Person in Control of the electrical installation during works
Issue, approve, and monitor electrical safety documentation
Safely operate plant in accordance with BLP procedures and safety rules
Perform HV/LV switching operations
Represent the Commissioning team on OSS platforms
Major Tasks
Support the design phase to ensure operational requirements are met
Participate in SAT/SIT testing and system familiarisation
Assist in developing BLP Electrical Safety Rules (BLP ESR)
Conduct safety inspections on offshore platforms
Promote a strong safety culture
Plan and prepare electrical works under direction of the Lead SAP
Coordinate with other SAPs/APs working on the system
Respond to abnormal conditions and escalate as required
Initiate emergency procedures when necessary
Participate in audits, inspections, and safety walkdowns
Issue and cancel electrical safety documents (PTW, LOTO, etc.)
Review RAMS and assess electrical risks
Ensure proper handover between shifts
Interface with O&M teams and contractors
Deliver training sessions for operational personnel
Support commissioning and energisation of electrical systems
Maintain accurate records of switching, permits, and isolations
Key Deliverables
Development of processes and operational procedures
Management of HV safety across the system
Ensuring safe operation of the BLP offshore wind plant
Delivery of safe working environments and energisation activities
Preparation of handover documentation
Contribution to BLP ESR and related safety frameworks
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience in high-voltage (HV) environments, including commissioning
Previous authorisation for systems up to 230kV
Strong knowledge of electrical safety rules and documentation systems (PTW, LOTO)
Experience in preparing and executing switching schedules
Familiarity with electrical regulations and standards
Strong coordination and communication skills
Fluent English (mandatory)
