Senior Automation Engineer

Contract period: 02/02/2026 - 31/12/2027
Location: Stavanger
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning and execution of SAS modifications
- Technical support resolving direct and short-term actions
- Ensure up-to-date LCI (Life Cycle Information)
- Ensure close cooperation with critical suppliers and contractors
- Perform condition monitoring analysis when required
- Perform defect elimination, support Root cause Failure Analysis for production losses and identify production vulnerabilities
- Cost management of the agreed budgets for assigned activities
- Participate in community for automation engineers, including Control & Automation team meetings
Qualifications:
- Master of Science or similar in Automation, preferably with specialization in Control systems
- Minimum 5 years of experience with design and operation of SAS systems, preferably within the oil & gas industry
- Experience and understanding related to all relevant discipline standards and guidelines
- Previous experience with ABB control systems is a requirement
- Systematic, structured and reliable in the performance of daily tasks
- Dedication and a personal drive for continuous improvement
- Good communications skills in both Norwegian and English
