Project Context
As part of the AMIRAL Project, a flagship petrochemical expansion jointly developed by TotalEnergies and Saudi Aramco through their Joint Venture SATORP, we are looking for a Commissioning Management professional to support the execution of one of the project’s major EPCC packages.

AMIRAL is a world‑class integrated petrochemical complex, including a 3.5 Mt/y steam cracker, downstream petrochemical units, utilities, offsites and associated facilities, for an overall CAPEX exceeding USD 10 billion.

Role & Objectives Reporting to the Project Management Team (PMT) and acting on behalf of the Company, the Commissioning Management Lead is responsible for ensuring that all pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities of the assigned package are properly prepared, coordinated and executed in line with:

  • Company specifications
  • Project schedule and startup sequence
  • OPERCOM® methodology and ICAPS© systems
  • Highest HSE standards
The role requires close coordination with EPCC contractors, Manufacturing teams, Operations, and package interfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate all pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities for the package
  • Review, comment and approve EPCC commissioning plans, procedures and dossiers
  • Monitor commissioning progress and issue regular reports to the PMT
  • Identify risks, deviations or potential conflicts and define corrective actions
  • Coordinate commissioning interfaces between packages and stakeholders
  • Supervise walkdowns, punching, FAT / SAT and operational tests
  • Define and manage commissioning priorities in line with the startup sequence
  • Review and approve SIMOPS and OTP procedures
  • Ensure availability and mobilisation of commissioning resources
  • Coordinate vendor support and assistance during commissioning
  • Lead commissioning witnessing activities and integrated teams
  • Prepare and manage the handover of systems to Operations
  • Ensure strict compliance with HSE requirements, stopping activities if safety is not guaranteed
Candidate Profile
  • Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in pre‑commissioning / commissioning on large industrial projects
  • Proven experience in Oil & Gas, Refining or Petrochemical projects
  • Strong background in EPCC project environments
  • Demonstrated experience with OPERCOM® and ICAPS©
  • Previous exposure to Middle East projects is highly desirable
  • Strong leadership, coordination and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a multicultural and high‑pressure environment
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)
