Overview
The Senior Geologist is responsible for leading geological interpretation, modelling, and field programs to support exploration and mine operations. This role provides technical expertise, ensures data quality, and contributes to resource definition and long‑term planning.

Overview
The Senior Geologist is responsible for leading geological interpretation, modelling, and field programs to support exploration and mine operations. This role provides technical expertise, ensures data quality, and contributes to resource definition and long‑term planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead geological mapping, sampling, drilling, and core logging programs
- Interpret geological data and develop 3D geological and resource models
- Plan and supervise exploration and infill drilling campaigns
- Monitor geotechnical and structural conditions as needed
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of geological databases
- Prepare technical reports, cross‑sections, and resource updates
- Collaborate with mine planning, engineering, and operations teams
- Mentor and support junior geologists and field staff
- Ensure all work aligns with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field
- 7+ years of geological experience, ideally in mining or advanced exploration
- Strong knowledge of mineral deposits, drilling techniques, and sampling methods
- Proficiency with geological modelling software (Leapfrog, Vulcan, Datamine, etc.)
- Experience with QA/QC procedures and resource estimation fundamentals
- Eligible for or registered with a professional association (e.g., P.Geo)
- Strong analytical and technical interpretation skills
- Excellent communication and report-writing abilities
- Ability to lead field programs and manage contractors
- Solid understanding of mining operations and resource development
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
