(Senior) HSSE Advisor
The Senior HSSE Advisor will provide short‑term, hands‑on HSSE support to the client operations. The role focuses on incident follow‑up, operational HSSE support at sites, investigation support, action tracking and close‑out, and HSSE performance reporting.
The position requires an experienced HSSE professional who can operate with minimal onboarding, understands incident classification, and can effectively support day‑to‑day operational HSSE challenges in a biogas environment. A good understanding of Process Safety is strongly preferred. Key Accountabilities

The Senior HSSE Advisor will provide short‑term, hands‑on HSSE support to the client operations. The role focuses on incident follow‑up, operational HSSE support at sites, investigation support, action tracking and close‑out, and HSSE performance reporting.

A good understanding of Process Safety is strongly preferred. Key Accountabilities
Incident Management & Follow‑Up
- Support the follow‑up of HSSE incidents, including verification of incident classification and severity.
- Participate in or support incident investigations, ensuring quality of analysis and alignment with client HSSE and causal learning expectations.
- Track, challenge, and support timely close‑out of corrective and preventive actions arising from incidents, audits, and reviews.
- Support capture and communication of key learnings to operations teams.
Operational HSSE Support
- Provide day‑to‑day HSSE advisory support to operational sites, working closely with Operations, Maintenance, and site leadership.
- Support management of ongoing HSSE issues at sites, including safe work practices, contractor activities, and operational risk controls.
- Act as a trusted HSSE sounding board for site teams, promoting practical and proportionate risk management.
HSSE Reporting & KPIs
- Support preparation, validation, and follow‑up of HSSE KPIs, including incidents, actions, and leading indicators.
- Assist with HSSE performance reporting for internal reviews and management updates.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and timely input into HSSE reporting systems.
Process Safety Support (Preferred)
- Provide support on process safety‑related topics (such as reaching out to PS team for assessment of potential and actual consequences, Tier rating, investigation of PS related incidents), including understanding of major accident hazards and incident classification.
- Support correct identification and escalation of potential process safety events.
- Act as an interface with process safety specialists where required.
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Senior HSSE Advisor / HSSE Professional in operational environments (energy, biogas, process industry, or similar).
- Strong working knowledge of incident reporting, classification, investigation, and action management.
- Demonstrated experience supporting operational HSSE activities in live sites.
- Experience with HSSE performance reporting and KPI follow‑up.
- Good understanding of Process Safety principles and major accident hazard environments (preferred).
- Familiarity with client HSSE / SEAM expectations is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently, pragmatically, and with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical and follow‑up skills.
- Strong IT skills including HSSE tools for incident reporting, etc.
- Ability to engage constructively with operations teams and contractors.
- Clear and concise communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- Practical, solution‑oriented HSSE mindset.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
- Short‑term consulting role intended to provide immediate HSSE capacity and expertise.
- Role requires hands‑on engagement with operational teams and sites.
- No direct line management responsibility.
