NES Fircroft are delighted to be partnering with an Engineering Services provider client who is urgently looking for a Senior Piping Detail Design Engineer (Pressure System) to join their team.
The role will be for an initial 6 month contract and the client is happy for someone to be based remotely from home in Europe. For this role it is a mandatory requirement that the successful candidate can speak Czech language.
About Role
The role specifically requires proven experience in the preparation of detailed fabrication / manufacturing documentation for:
• piping systems
• pipe supports / hangers
• supporting consoles / structural brackets
• pipe routing support arrangements
The project involves pressure-retaining piping components, therefore the successful candidate must have solid practical experience with pressure equipment / pressure systems design requirements and the preparation of documentation in compliance with applicable European standards and directives.
Scope of Work
The selected engineer will be responsible for preparing detailed design / fabrication documentation for:
• Piping systems
• Pipe supports, hangers and restraints
• Consoles, brackets and support arrangements
• Fabrication drawings including:
o dimensions
o material specifications
o technical parameters required for manufacturing / fabrication
The work must be carried out in accordance with the applicable requirements for pressure systems and related project standards.
Essential experience:
• Proven experience in detailed design / fabrication documentation for industrial piping
• Strong background in pipe supports, hangers, brackets, consoles and support arrangements
• Experience with pressure-retaining piping systems (this is a strict requirement)
• Ability to prepare fabrication drawings / manufacturing documentation with complete technical and material details
• Practical knowledge of the following:
o Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU (PED)
o EN 13480 – Metallic industrial piping
o EN 12952 – Water-tube boilers and auxiliary installations
• Ability to start immediately or at very short notice
Preferred:
• Experience in refinery, petrochemical, power generation or heavy industrial environments
• Experience on projects involving energy / utility systems
• Familiarity with brownfield / operating industrial plant conditions
• Czech or Slovak language skills are needed.
(Czech language capability is a significant advantage for this assignment.)

• Engagement: Contract / freelance / external specialist support (depending on agreement)
