Senior Process Engineer

NES Fircroft are supporting our valued client, Woodside Energy, who are looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join their Perth Office on a 2-year contract.

About the Role:

The NWS opportunity is targeting the development of three fields, for processing at the existing NWS Venture owned and operated KGP.  

Modifications to KGP are required to support project gas processing, including new feed gas receival facilities and whole of plant changes to support lean gas processing.

Major changes are also required to improve KGP environmental and air quality outcomes, potentially including LNG1 electrification and a new combined cycle power plant.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The NWS Integration team is seeking to onboard an experienced Process Engineer to support the next phase of studies.

As a Senior / Principal Process Engineer, you will be working in the NWS Integration team to understand the KGP design and operation and optimise the NWS opportunity:

• Using process modelling to assess impact of project feed on KGP operation.
• Integrating within the project team, as well as with the NWS Business Unit, Operating and Engineering teams to understand modifications required for project as well as future environmental compliance and decarbonisation opportunities.
• Supporting contractor studies: developing scopes of work, managing contractors during scope delivery and checking contractor deliverables.
• Preparing decisions: inputting to and documenting decisions through KDLs, filenotes and reports.
• You’ll be working within a multidiscipline team environment, including engagement of internal and external stakeholders.
• Preparing process engineering inputs for the KGP Basis of Design.

This role is suited to someone interested in following a major project from pre-FEED phase through to FEED and Execute phases.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Process Engineering within the oil and gas industry, with specific experience in HYSYS, LNG and/or KGP preferred.
• Previous experience in conceptual engineering (Concept Select, Concept Definition, PreFEED) would be beneficial.
• Ability to integrate with multiple stakeholders, manage uncertainty and riskbased decision making.
