Principal Electrical Engineer - Adelaide

I am currently supporting an industry leading business that are delivering innovative engineering solutions across the energy, infrastructure and mining sectors. With offices across Australia, they are a growing organisation focused on developing and delivering outstanding projects whilst maintaining a strong team culture.

About the Role

We are looking to speak with experienced Electrical Engineers, at a Principal or a Senior level, to provide technical leadership across electrical engineering aspects, power generation and HVAC-integrated solutions within major engineering projects. Ideally, you will have experience as an Engineer who has previously managed teams, mentored engineers as well as leading projects in different industries. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical leadership to project teams and clients
  • Deliver electrical engineering scopes across projects
  • Act as a technical authority across power, control and HVAC-integrated systems
  • Manage technical risks and support project delivery
  • Support proposals, cost estimates and technical solutions
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to team capability
  • Build client relationships and support business growth.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent)
  • Experience in a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer role
  • Strong experience across HV, MV or LV power systems
  • Mandatory experience with HVAC systems, including electrical integration and control
  • Experience with industrial hardware design and integration (panels, field devices, infrastructure)
  • Experience with power system studies, protection and coordination
  • Experience with ETAP or PowerCad
  • Strong technical documentation skills
  • Experience with vendors such as Rockwell, Schneider or Siemens
  • A proactive, collaborative and detail-oriented approach
  • RPEQ or CPEng
  • HV studies, arc flash, harmonics or earthing design.
