NES Fircroft are currently recruiting for a Sourcing Specialist for our client, who are a global, industry leader in power technology.

Sourcing Specialist
Contract position
Location: Stafford
Hybrid working: 3/2 office/home split

Roles and Responsibilities
• Support the Indirect Sourcing Team to identify, select and negotiate with suppliers to get most
competitive offer.
• Experience with majority if not all Indirect Commodities, MRO, FM, Professional Services,
Labour, IT and Utilities.
• Ensure all active suppliers are approved and compliant (Supplier Connect / Complyworks).
• Enforce supplier strategy & Sourcing policies including management and optimization of supplier
panels.
• Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers.
• Support budget planning and deliver Sourcing deflation and payment targets.
• Negotiate terms and conditions.
• Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc.
• Support the UK Indirect team to resolve Supplier issues / support any related Sourcing related
execution issues.
• Leads payment dispute resolutions

• Provides guidance to team members. Explains complex information to others in straightforward
situations.

The role operates with some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities/provision of advice within an enabling discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Activities require professional judgement but may require more senior levels of guidance. Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications
This role requires 8-10 years experience in either procurement or Sourcing functions, preferably Indirect.
CIPS qualified.

Desired Characteristics
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
Established project management skills.
