Structural Project Lead
12 month contract | FIFO even time roster | Paid on daily rate + superannuation
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Structural Project Lead to support a portfolio of infrastructure projects within a mining environment. This role will oversee multiple smaller projects while also contributing to larger scope works, including a potential ventilation shaft project. The position requires a strong civil or structural engineering background and an understanding of underground mining operations and associated processes.
This is a long term opportunity with an initial 12 month contract and approximately two years of project work anticipated.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage structural project scopes across multiple underground infrastructure projects
• Coordinate engineering activities from concept through execution
• Provide technical oversight for civil and structural design within an underground mining environment
• Support delivery of key infrastructure works including potential ventilation shaft construction
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical and front end project leads
• Ensure project delivery aligns with safety, cost and schedule expectations
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and site teams to maintain project progress
About You
• Civil or Structural Engineering background
• Experience working within underground mining environments
• Hard rock mining exposure highly regarded but not essential
• Strong understanding of underground construction processes and site coordination
• Experience managing multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously
• Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership capability
