Position: SURF Installation Manager Engineering Services
Location: Paris, France then potential residential assignment in Suriname with offshore missions
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 12‑Month Renewable Contract
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage all SURF installation activities, supporting the SURF Package Manager.
• Ensure all H3SE requirements are implemented and fully respected across the contractor teams and installation vessels.
• Review, validate, and comment on all contractor technical documentation, installation procedures, engineering queries, and design deviations.
• Develop and maintain the SURF Installation Plan, installation schedule, and associated installation principles.
• Identify and manage COMOPs (notably with Drilling), proposing mitigation measures.
• Ensure all installation, pre‑commissioning, and commissioning aspects are addressed throughout engineering and execution phases.
• Coordinate daily with contractors on installation engineering matters, ensuring quality, progress, and compliance.
• Manage interfaces between SURF and related packages including Drilling, FPSO, SPS, and URS.
• Supervise all SURF company representatives across installation vessels, ensuring coherent execution and effective decision flow.
• Oversee offshore installation of all SURF equipment across multiple laying vessels, ensuring QA/QC and H3SE compliance.
• Directly support and oversee pre‑commissioning and commissioning of SURF systems.
• Consolidate reporting, highlight risks, track contractor progress, and escalate issues where required.
• Participate in project reviews (PR, DER, CSPP) and represent SURF in partner/concessionaire workshops and committees.
• Ensure confidentiality of all SURF documentation produced and maintain rigorous documentation control.
• Capture lessons learned and contribute to project close‑out reporting.
Requirements • Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 15+ years’ experience in large offshore Oil & Gas projects, including SURF engineering, construction, installation, and commissioning.
• SURF contractor experience highly advantageous.
• Strong technical and operational management experience across multi‑vessel installation campaigns.
• Strong team leadership, stakeholder management, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, handle multiple workstreams, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Strong cost and schedule awareness with focus on project delivery.
• BOSIET & HUET required prior to offshore missions.
