Technical Safety Engineer
📍 Montigny-le-Bretonneux (France) + Potential Onshore/Offshore Missions
📅 Start: 01 March 2026 – End: 28 February 2027

About the Role
Our client is looking for a Technical Safety Engineer to support safety engineering activities across multiple projects within its engineering centre. You will work autonomously while collaborating closely with discipline leads and project teams. This role offers a dynamic environment, exposure to high‑value international energy projects, and a mix of office and field missions.

Key Responsibilities
As a Technical Safety Engineer, you will contribute to the full spectrum of safety engineering studies and reviews, including:

Safety Engineering & Design
  • Conducting and contributing to:
    • HAC studies (Hazardous Area Classification)
    • Fire & Gas (F&G) engineering
    • EER, LSA, Fire & Explosion Risk Analysis, Gas Dispersion Analysis
  • Supporting HSE design activities, including:
    • HAZID, HAZOP, SIL reviews
    • Development of Safety Critical Elements (SCE) and Performance Standards
    • Human Factors Engineering integration
Project & Interface Management
  • Working in a multi‑project environment
  • Coordinating with interdisciplinary engineering teams and project managers
  • Ensuring alignment with site rules, project specifications, and safety standards
Profile & Qualifications 🎓 Education
  • Engineering degree from a Grande École or university in:
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Industrial Risk
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • HSE or related fields
🛠️ Technical Skills
  • First professional experience in safety engineering within Oil & Gas or Energy
  • Experience in:
    • Safety reviews (HAZID/HAZOP/SIL)
    • Risk assessments
    • Development of safety engineering deliverables
🌍 Languages
  • Fluent in French and English
📜 Certifications (optional but beneficial)
  • Valid BOSIET (OPITO-approved)
  • MFC
  • Seaman Book
Work Conditions & Missions
  • Primary location: Montigny-le-Bretonneux
  • Possible Onshore mission: up to 1 month, non-renewable
  • Possible Offshore mission: up to 2 months, non-renewable
