Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 hours/day (40 hrs/week) 
Pay Rate:         $19.90–$25.00/hour

Position Summary
The Trainee Laboratory Technician supports Product & Service Delivery (PSD) by conducting quality assurance and control testing on oil well cement slurries and additives to ensure downhole well integrity. You’ll prepare lab reports prior to wellsite delivery, assist with additive selection and fluid design, maintain lab equipment, and support HSE and quality initiatives. This is a hands-on role with a clear path to becoming a technical expert in cement fluid design and lab operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute QA/QC tests on cement slurries and additives 
  • Prepare accurate, timely lab reports for service delivery.
  • Assist with additive selection and fluid design; support Design/Technical Engineers and Product Champions.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot lab equipment; coordinate repairs; manage lab cleanliness and waste disposal.
  • Collect and manage chemical additive samples for pilot testing.
  • Deliver technical presentations for internal/external stakeholders.
  • Conduct risk analyses and submit risk identification reports in the online system.
  • Participate in Service Quality meetings, drive improvements via action plans.
  • Adhere to HSE policies, maintain required safety training, and wear full PPE
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Windows & Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong attention to detail; consistently follows procedures and documentation standards.
  • Team-oriented and capable of working independently.
  • Able to pass all company-mandated pre-employment screening.
  • Flexible with schedule changes; occasional travel for training or to support other labs.
