Design Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical Knowledge
    • Understanding of water treatment processes, distribution systems.
    • Familiarity with SCADA systems for remote monitoring and control.
    • Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge related to pumps, valves, and instrumentation.
  • Computer & Software Skills
    • Proficiency in SCADA, , and data logging software.
    • Ability to interpret system alarms and troubleshoot remotely.
    • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving
    • Ability to analyze operational data and identify trends or anomalies.
    • Quick decision-making under pressure during system failures or emergencies.
  • Communication Skills
    • Clear verbal and written communication for coordination with field operators.  
    • Ability to document incidents and operational changes accurately.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • System Monitoring
    • Monitor water treatment plants, Salt Water Disposal and distribution networks via SCADA.
    • Track flow rates, pressure levels, and reservoir levels.
  • Remote Operations
    • Adjust pumps, and inlets, remotely to maintain optimal performance.
    • Respond to alarms and initiate corrective actions promptly.
  • Coordination
    • Communicate with field operators for maintenance repairs, and emergency response.
    • Dispatch I&E Techs, Electrical Crews, Field Personnel for on-site troubleshooting when remote resolution is not possible.
  • Data Management
    • Record operational data, incidents, and maintenance activities in logs and reports.
    • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
  • Compliance & Safety
    • Ensure operations comply with regulatory standards for water quality and safety.
    • Follow emergency protocols during system failures or contamination events.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Participate in training and system upgrades.
    • Suggest process improvements for efficiency and reliability.
  • Schedule
    • 14/14 days and nights. Work holidays and be able to cover if needed.
