NES Fircroft are currently supporting, Woodside Energy, who are looking for a Well Test Engineer to join their Perth Office on a 2-year contract.
About the role:
Reports to a Completions Engineering Manager and works closely with well engineering teams supporting GWS projects in the planning, execution phases, and/or close-out phases of projects or new business opportunities.

About the role:
Reports to a Completions Engineering Manager and works closely with well engineering teams supporting GWS projects in the planning, execution phases, and/or close-out phases of projects or new business opportunities.
Core Responsibilities:
- Plans and delivers well test operations as part of a project team.
- Collaborates across disciplines to share knowledge and achieve objectives
- Works independently and solves complex problems with some supervision.
- Makes recommendations on project direction and scope.
- Quickly adapt to new projects and adjust to unexpected or changing circumstances.
- Produces high quality written work and delivers clear concise presentation.
- Continuously demonstrates professional and ethical behaviour
Is Responsible for:
- Well test / unloading, design, validation, planning and execution
- Works with well test contractor to provision technical support for job design preparation and MODU interfaces.
- Incorporates Lessons Learned & Best Practices into planning and operations
- Knowledge of different supplier products and tools
- Capable of evaluating ‘New Technology’ for completion tools and provide recommendations
- Complies with Well Acceptance Criteria, well barrier and well integrity work.
- Preparation of well testing programs & detailed procedures
- CWOP / TWOP meetings, postwell or post-campaign reviews.
- Reviews daily activity reports to ensure accuracy and appropriate level of detail.
- Operational support, problem solving, contingency planning, record keeping.
- Participates in After Action Reviews and ensures Lessons Learned are captured.
- Exploration DST design, validation, planning and execution.
- Manage the design and temporary installation of well test equipment on offshore rigs.
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree (preferable).
- Drilling, completion, and intervention technical courses
- +10 years’ experience in wells, with +5 year in operations.
- Experience in a related discipline (Drilling/Subsea/Production Eng).
