Senior Project Engineer – Wind Installation
Location: Perth (office-based until May 2026), transitioning to site-based.
Roster: 5:2 (Perth) transitioning to 2:1 (site) - flexibility on Perth-based rosters available for interstate candidates.
Contract: 12 months + extension likely
Start: January 2026
Rates: $85-$110/hr + super

About the Project
This is the first-ever wind farm in the region, featuring new to market turbines with first-of-its-kind technology, a world-first at this scale. Turbines arrive June 2026, and we’re gearing up for a major installation phase.
 
The Role
Reporting to the Wind Installation Package Manager, you’ll play a key role in engineering and package management for turbine installation. This is not just site engineering – you’ll assist with contract awards, tendering, resource mobilisation, and technical oversight for the installation contractor and equipment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support tendering, bid evaluation, and contract negotiations for installation packages.
  • Oversee procurement and mobilisation of installation equipment and resources.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Monitor progress, resolve engineering issues, and manage installation requirements.
  • Provide technical and commercial input to advance design and scheduling.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience: Ideally, wind turbine installation experience. If not, strong Senior Project Engineer background in SMP and heavy lift projects.
  • Qualifications: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree.
  • Skills: Package management, contracts oversight, stakeholder coordination, problem-solving.
  • Attributes: Excellent communication, teamwork, and ability to handle quality and technical challenges.
