Managing Director - Americas

Roland's journey with NES Fircroft began in 2005 as a Recruitment Consultant after achieving a BA (Hons) in Law and Management from Aberdeen, Scotland. Over nearly two decades, he’s demonstrated exceptional growth, becoming Managing Director of the Americas operation following several successful years in Aberdeen, Calgary and Houston. Roland oversees the US, Canada, and Latin America, including the subsidiary Bedrock Consultants in Texas.

Under Roland’s leadership, NES Fircroft in the Americas has experienced over 100% growth in the Renewables and Clean Energy sectors, significant expansion in our services to Chemicals, Mining, and Power clients, and record-breaking permanent hire placements.

Roland's region now serves over 500 clients through 170 staff across 14 offices, including recent expansions into Toronto and Alaska. His success is built on cultivating strong teams and fostering enduring relationships with clients, contractors, and staff, many of whom have worked alongside him for decades.

Chief Finance Director

Steve joined in 2007 and oversees all the Group’s support functions including the company’s global compliance department.He has contributed significantly to the success of NESF, supporting the international growth of the company, improving the management of working capital and leading a number of bank fundraisings, including a £105m refinancing in 2012 and two in 2018 for $215m and $60m.Prior to joining the company, Steve was the Group Finance Director at The Funding Corporation from 2002 to 2007 and a partner at Arthur Andersen from 1999 to 2002.

Group HR Director

Peter Burke, Group HR Director, joined in 2014.In a career of over 25 years, Peter has held various senior management and board level roles for large multi-site organisations within the service sector.

Director of Risk

Ian leads all compliance and risk management activity for NES Fircroft. He has previously held a number of operational finance roles in NES Fircroft, including Regional Financial Director roles covering Africa, Americas, Europe and UK operations. Ian has dedicated himself to supporting NES Fircroft people to have the best possible experiences with the organisation. This has included a focus on bringing more female and ethnic minority colleagues through to leadership levels, both through driving organisation-wide ESG initiatives and through personal mentoring and coaching.

Marketing Director

Vicki joined in 2015 and has over 20 years experience in Business to Business Marketing. She is a Chartered Marketer and Cambridge graduate. Vicki specialises in brand and communications and has worked in a variety of service sectors including: IT, Telco, Financial Services and Social Housing. Vicki is also a Certified Digital Marketer and a qualified Helicopter pilot.

Group Finance Director

Lee joined in 2008 and is responsible for the finance and support operations across the globe. Lee attained a BA in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Sheffield in 1998 and trained to become an ICAEW qualified accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Manchester. Lee and his team deliver an industry-leading support service that facilitate the ever growing footprint of the business with extremely efficient and effective regional support teams in Houston, Manchester, Dubai and Kuala Lumpur.

Chief Operating Officer

Simon Coton joined NES Global Talent in 1995 as a recruiter, and progressed up to his current role leading NES operations in 2008. In that time he has been a key part of the executive team, delivering the sale to AEA investors in 2012, securing a number of refinancing deals, and making 7 strategic and value adding acquisitions.Under Simon's leadership NES has expanded its operations to 66 physical locations around the globe, expanded its sector focus, and grown its turnover to over $1.8 billion.​

Managing Director - Middle East, UK, Europe & Africa

Darren joined in 2002 and established NES Global Talent in the Middle East region . He leads seven offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Al Khobar, Erbil, Basra, Muscat, and Doha.Passionate about recruitment“Clients are looking for commitment, expertise and loyalty to finishing a project. Executive Director

The son of Fircroft’s founder, John Johnson, Johnathan took over the Fircroft business as CEO in 2007. With his extensive knowledge in the global workforce solutions industry he continued to develop relationships with key global clients, and focused on using the experience he had gained over the years to refine and grow the business.Johnathan was appointed Executive Director of NES Fircroft in 2020 and is dedicated to helping NES Fircroft continue to raise the bar, ensuring an excellent service and experience, for all candidates and clients.

Chief Executive Officer

Tig joined the Board of NES Global Talent in 2013 and became CEO in 2014. With a successful career spanning more than 25 years, Tig previously worked as operating partner at AEA Investors LP, which bought NES Global Talent in 2012. Prior to that he was CEO of Adecco Group North America and held senior management roles at IBM, PwC and Price Waterhouse.Tig also serves on the Board of Directors of Lennar, Work Market, and Gypsum Management and Supply.Tig holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, Columbia University and a BS in Systems Engineering from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University of Virginia.

Global Talent Acquisition Director

As Global Director for Talent Acquisition, Janine manages the internal Talent Acquisition team for NES Fircroft. Having worked for NES Fircroft for over 10 years, with 20 years industry experience, Janine is passionate about developing the ongoing strategy to find specialists and the future leaders of NES Fircroft. Prior to managing the Talent Acquisition function, Janine held a number of positions within NES Fircroft including Global Account Manager within Oil Field Services, and Regional RPO Manager for Middle East. Janine is also a mentor within the organization, working with individuals across regions to help them reach their full potential.

Group Finance Director

Mark joined NES Fircroft in 2006 and has since developed a deep understanding of the business whilst playing the key role in numerous UK and overseas debt and equity transactions over the last 15 years. A Chartered Accountant, Mark is responsible for all Group Finance activity and leads with passion in maintaining an outstanding service in the delivery of quality financial information to the executive team and other NES Fircroft stakeholders, whilst using his wealth of experience to deliver strategic financing and M&A objectives, most notably securing a $100m senior facility refinance in September 2022.

Group IT Director

Chris joined as Group IT Director in 2019 with over 20 years’ IT leadership experience gained in logistics, aviation and tour operations.Chris has a strong business and customer focus and aims to leverage technology solutions for business advantage. Chris manages IT strategically and cost-efficiently by making business decisions about technology acquisitions, building IT roadmaps to business ends, harnessing the value of existing investments and assembling and focusing IT teams to innovate and deliver. 

Managing Director - Managed Solutions

Jens brings over 10 years of experience in managed solutions and management consulting and has been with NES since 2016. Jens achieved an MBA from INSEAD and his strengths lie in streamlining and diversifying business activities to ensure success.

Senior Vice President

Craig joined NES Global Talent as a Recruitment Consultant in late 1998, Glasgow, Scotland. He has progressed to Senior Vice President of the Americas at NES Fircroft, following several successful years in Glasgow, Calgary, and now Houston. Whilst progressing through the company Craig has continued to develop his knowledge of key sectors and technical disciplines, and excels in delivering solutions and client development. Craig runs our global key account program, as well as operationally driving substantial growth in the Americas.

Managing Director

Shalena heads up the Baker Hughes account, an industry award-winning Global Account within NESFircroft, employing over 130 dedicated account personnel, supplying both RPO and MSP services across 73 countries in 6 regions. Shalena has over 17 years of international recruitment experience, based out of Singapore, Perth, Dubai and most recently, Houston. Her industry expertise spans Fullstream Oil & Gas, Energy Transition, Digital Technology, Corporate Functions, Supply Chain and Manufacturing. She has led highly successful, multi-functional and geographical teams in program exploration, design, implementation, and performance delivery, in complex matrix environments. Her track record includes exceeding client performance metric goals related to diversity, delivery timescales, customer satisfaction and compliance. Shalena holds an MBA in Human Resource Management.

Group General Counsel

Glen joined in 2022 after more than twenty-five years of private practice. Before joining NES Fircroft, Glen worked for a leading national law firm. He focused on complex business disputes and catastrophic injury claims, and represented clients across energy, manufacturing, heavy equipment, technology, and automotive. He also represented NES Fircroft for many years. “As a result of rapidly evolving economic and political climates and increased government regulation worldwide, NES Fircroft and its customers face unique legal challenges in the various jurisdictions in which they operate. I am excited to help the company navigate these complicated issues so that we can provide the best possible service for our customers.

Managing Director - Asia Pacific

Matt is passionate about recruitment and has more than 20 years’ recruitment experience. He is responsible for leading teams across Asia and Australasia and is focused on growing existing business and diversifying into new markets. Asia’s quest to secure its own energy future is fuelling investment and growth of energy infrastructure previously undreamed of. With enormous untapped reserves, Australia is increasingly seen as a part of the East Asian energy solution and inextricably linked both in its geographical proximity, and its trade and political ties. With a wealth of mega-projects underway, securing talent for our clients to bring projects to fruition is his key focus.
