Our client is a leading Data Centre developer in Australasia, delivering a growing portfolio of complex, large-scale projects and supporting the region’s transition to cloud and next-generation technologies while prioritising energy and resource efficiency.
The Challenge
The client needed to fill highly specialised roles in a market where the talent pool is notably small and closely connected. The Data Centre sector in Sydney is a tight-knit community, and sourcing candidates who were both suitable and unknown to the client required creativity and persistence across every available channel. Compounding this, the client’s internal talent division did not have the capacity to cover both Australia and Asia simultaneously, prompting the need for an external workforce solutions partner to provide market intelligence and deliver high quality talent across multiple locations.
Our Solution
Leveraging NES Fircroft’s global reach and building on initial engagement from our Middle East team, our APAC division partnered with the client to deliver a retained search solution, supporting three critical specialist roles across Civil Construction, Commercial Construction, and Development.
Backed by our extensive regional database and deep market knowledge across the Data Centre sector, our team invested significant time upfront to truly understand the business, meeting with the client’s Talent Acquisition team to build a clear picture of the company culture, values, and what makes an ideal candidate for their organisation. From there, lengthy individual sessions were held with each Line Manager to unpack the specific requirements of each role.
