Background
Our client delivers comprehensive Data Centre solutions, specialising in design, build, and integration services tailored to meet complex infrastructure needs. With a reputation for precision and unified delivery model, our client ensures seamless project execution across global markets.
The Challenge
Our client needed a reliable workforce solutions provider to support with compliant visa arrangements for their 10 existing employees. Their previous provider encountered issues related to payroll, compliance, and overall lacked reliability. Additionally, the client’s previous supplier struggled to find sufficiently qualified talent. This shortcoming created a significant shortage of network cable installers and fibre splicers, essential for completing their projects.
These complications not only resulted in lost worker hours on critical projects, but also led to significant fines and further delays in construction timelines.
Our Solution
NES Fircroft has been operating in the UAE since 2009, with fully licensed local offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Our presence in the region has allowed us to develop strong local engineering talent, resolve legal entity and employment requirements, ease payroll burdens, manage tax queries, and ensure immigration labour law compliance.
To effectively address the client’s challenges, we appointed a dedicated Account Manager who met with the client face to-face. We delivered two strategic solutions: Employer of Record (EOR) and Contract Staffing.
EOR: Under this model, the client’s employees were transitioned onto compliant visas, ensuring that all employee contracts adhered to statutory labour laws. This guaranteed employees’ timely compensation and appropriate benefits, encouraged employee retention, and ensured overall compliance with local regulations.
Contract Staffing: To address the immediate staffing shortages, we initiated a recruitment campaign to source additional skilled network cable installers and fibre splicers. Leveraging our extensive talent pool, we successfully identified and placed the necessary skilled personnel to efficiently meet the client’s project demands.
Key workforce support included:
- Compliant Provision of Visas: Ensuring all staff were under compliant visa arrangements.
- Payroll Management: Ensuring all personnel receive timely compensation.
- Comprehensive Support: Providing medical insurance, local transportation, and assistance in setting up bank accounts for payroll processing. Our support teams also have regular check-in calls to provide continuous support and engagement for all personnel.
Roles supported included:
- Data Cable Network Installer
- Data Cabling Supervisor
- Fibre Splicer
- Operations Engineer
- Operations Manager
The Results
We successfully transferred all 10 non compliant contracts/visas within 4 weeks to NES Fircroft visa and payroll for client employees from Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates.
NES Fircroft demonstrated rapid processes; we recruited 10 contractors within 1 week - contracts were signed, and visa processes were initiated, meaning that the first new hires joined the site within just two weeks.
The client expressed high satisfaction with the services NES Fircroft provided. Their employees are now on compliant visas, receiving timely payments, and they now have the necessary team to get the project back on track to meet its deadlines.
