Our Client is a world leader in Power Generation and Water Technologies for Utilities, Independent Power Producers and Industrial Applications. NES Fircroft was awarded a Master Services Agreement in 2009, and since then has supported our Client on various projects across the Americas and Asia Pacific region.
The Challenge
Our Client partnered with NES Fircroft in Australia to support the further development of their Renewable Energy projects with the new-build construction and civil works for multiple onshore wind farms. The specialised nature of the Client’s work means that niche staff skillsets are in high demand; with multiple projects underway across the country there was a short supply of eligible candidates for all roles.
The Solution
NES Fircroft assigned a team of dedicated discipline-specific consultants to the Client who truly understood the Renewables market and could quickly ascertain the specific role requirements. The Client needed key Project Management personnel ranging widely in skillset, experience and seniority.
Our sourcing capability is industry-leading and our consultants place a high priority on maintaining close contact with industry specialists. Our team of consultants utilised their extensive personal networks as well as our database of over 600,000 technical candidates to ensure they found the right person for each role. In addition to leveraging our Renewable Energy network, our team targeted contractors with transferable skills from other industries - including Oil & Gas and Mining - into the Wind Farm sector.
Our comprehensive solution also included:
- Mobilisation and Onboarding
- Travel and Logistics
- Payroll and Online Timesheets
- Visa and Immigration Services (required for highly specialised talent sourced internationally)
The Outcome
NES has made over 50 placements on our Client’s projects across Australia, as well as supporting their head office operations in Melbourne. Our local offices in each state allowed us to provide a high touch client liaison point and rapid access to local talent. Our tried and tested local logistics and supply chain methods allowed us to support country-wide requests with fast onboarding and mobilisation processes to get our contractors to site compliantly and quickly.
The local NES team were able to engage our wider network’s experience of staffing similar projects elsewhere globally, and provided our client with access to specialised talent from all corners of the world for the few roles that could not be sourced locally.
