Accountant (AP & GL)

Responsibilities

• Monitor accounts payable (AP) aging and prepare cash flow forecasts for vendor payments
• Prepare and process vendor invoices and payments accurately and in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including withholding tax (WHT), VAT, and indirect tax filings
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including AP, accruals, WHT, payroll-related accounts, and input VAT
• Handle general ledger (GL) activities, including journal entries and account analysis
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes for AP, accruals, and GL accounts
• Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with accounting standards
• Assist in financial reporting and perform variance analysis
• Provide necessary schedules and documentation to support internal and external audits

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, AP processes, and GL functions
• Understanding of tax regulations (VAT, WHT, indirect tax)
• Good communication skills in English
• Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
