Job Title: Accounting Clerk
Location: Oakville, ON
Length: 6 Months (with potential extension)
Rotation: Hybrid (2 days in office)
Role Summary
Provides financial and operational support to the Field Service Operations team, including Field Service Management, Field Project Managers, Field Service Coordinators, and field personnel. Supports planning, forecasting, invoicing, and financial performance tracking to ensure accurate reporting, strong cash flow, and adherence to internal and external compliance requirements.

Job Title: Accounting Clerk

Role Summary
Provides financial and operational support to the Field Service Operations team, including Field Service Management, Field Project Managers, Field Service Coordinators, and field personnel. Supports planning, forecasting, invoicing, and financial performance tracking to ensure accurate reporting, strong cash flow, and adherence to internal and external compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Field Service Operations team through regular engagement, including weekly operations meetings to review current and upcoming jobs, and meetings with Project Managers to capture updates and operational requirements.
- Prepare monthly proformas to support accurate forecasting and visibility into expected revenue and margin.
- Ensure invoicing is performed on a weekly basis for larger projects and promptly upon completion of smaller projects.
- Assist with the collections process to improve Accounts Receivable (AR) outstanding positions and support Free Cash Flow objectives.
- Perform monthly Work in Progress (WIP) reviews, with a strong focus on timely de-hooking of completed projects to ensure Field Service Orders on Hand remain accurate.
- Ensure projects are adequately funded by proactively requesting customer purchase order (PO) increases as required.
- Document and explain all drivers of margin improvements or decreases to support transparency and audit requirements.
- Maintain high forecast accuracy across key performance indicators (KPIs), including Revenue, Gross Margin, and Gross Profit, with specific emphasis on Other Cost of Goods Sold.
- Perform timely and accurate margin analysis supported by disciplined invoicing practices.
- Maintain proper documentation in alignment with EU Taxonomy requirements and THOP documentation standards.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of billing processes and basic accounting principles.
- Working knowledge of SAP.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
