Position: Area Lead Engineer- Utilities
Location: Beijing, China during detailed engineering then Azerbaijan
Contract: 12 Month Renewable contract
Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Area Lead for Utilities to support the delivery of a major Oil & Gas development project. The successful candidate will be responsible for all Utilities Area and Building Package activities, ensuring safe and successful execution through engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.

Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Area Lead for Utilities to support the delivery of a major Oil & Gas development project. The successful candidate will be responsible for all Utilities Area and Building Package activities, ensuring safe and successful execution through engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Utilities Area delivery through all project phases.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
- Manage utility package procurement and vendor interfaces.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure contractual compliance.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering interfaces.
- Support construction and commissioning execution.
- Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL and Constructability Reviews.
- Ensure technical deviations and changes are properly managed.
- Support operations readiness and development of commissioning dossiers.
- Monitor project schedule, risks and performance.
- Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification.
- 10+ years' experience within Oil & Gas projects.
- Strong Utilities and Infrastructure package experience.
- Experience working on EPC, EPCM or EPSCC projects.
- Knowledge of MEG systems, Firewater Systems, Instrument Air, Nitrogen and Water Distribution Networks.
- Construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning experience.
- Strong stakeholder and contractor management capabilities.
- Fluent English required.
