Overview
The Assistant Construction Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of data center construction projects. This role works closely with the Construction Manager, contractors, and project teams to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.

The Assistant Construction Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of data center construction projects. This role works closely with the Construction Manager, contractors, and project teams to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day‑to‑day construction activities across the project site, including coordination with general contractors and subcontractors
- Assist in monitoring project schedule, progress, and milestones, identifying potential delays and helping drive corrective actions
- Maintain regular field presence, ensuring work is performed according to plans, specifications, and safety requirements
- Assist with site logistics, planning, and coordination of materials, equipment, and workforce
- Support quality control efforts, including inspections, punch lists, and verification of completed work
- Track and report on construction progress, risks, and issues to project leadership
- Assist with RFIs, submittals, and change management processes as needed
- Coordinate across disciplines (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical) to ensure efficient project execution
- Support contractor performance monitoring, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and safety expectations
- Maintain clear and organized project documentation and reporting
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture on site
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, site safety plans, and company policies
- Support daily safety meetings, audits, and field observations
- 3–8+ years of experience in construction, preferably in mission‑critical, industrial, or large commercial projects
- Experience supporting large‑scale construction projects (data center, power, or infrastructure preferred)
- Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and sequencing
- Strong understanding of site coordination and contractor management
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, field‑driven environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
