Automation Senior Engineer
 
Contract period: 02.03.2026 - 31.12.2027
Location: Asker

Main tasks:
  • We are looking for a skilled automation engineer to work in a large oil & gas FEED project consisting of new platform design, brownfield modification work and interface to several contractual interfaces. 
  • The right candidate will have the opportunity to develop his/her skills within engineering of Automation systems, working with the PDCS system design.  
  • System Design activities for Automation interface to electrical equipment as appointed by automation group lead.
  • Designing solutions according to Client requirements ensuring global design solutions across contractual interfaces.
  • Design of automation interface to Electrical equipment packages in a FEED phase.
  • Follow up vendors and vendor technical documentation, including planning of package engineering activities.
  • Ensure that vendor and engineering information required for progress of the work is identified and communicated to the project.
  • Interface to other disciplines, suppliers and client.
  • Perform and complete engineering documents and data registers.
  • Offshore survey may be required.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor or higher.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience from automation engineering in green field projects.  
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience from automation design for electrical interfaces, incl knowledge of IEC61850. 
  • Experience and thorough knowledge of automation design and networks according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, and IEC.  
  • Efficient communicator, who communicate well in English - both orally and in writing.
  • Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as in team. 
  • Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements. 
  • Proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others.

Required Certificates:
  • FSE-course, valid through the engagement.
  • Ex-course, valid through the engagement.
